Our Local Ministry
"Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind.
Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensembles to the flock."
~ I Peter 5:2-3
Pastor
Evangelist-at-Large Samuel C. Wade Rabbi
In the tapestry of our lives, a pastor is more than a spiritual leader; they are a guiding light that illuminates our paths, offering solace, wisdom, and a steady hand to navigate the complexities of life. A pastor should be a pillar of support, a wellspring of inspiration, and a source of unwavering faith.

It was evident early in his life that there was an anointing and calling on his life. Ordained to the ministry in 1984, he climbed the ranks of ministry at an early age and was recently elevated to Evangelist-at-Large. Evangelist-at-Large became Pastor of the Hyattsville Tabernacle in 2007 after the retirement of our former spiritual guide, Elder George Wade. He picked up the mantle and has been running ever since! Our Pastor is also a member of the governing body of the Church of God and Saints of Christ as well as Rabbi and head of the Rabbinical Staff. His influence reaches beyond our local Tabernacle, nationally and internationally.

A Scholar of the Seven Keys, Evangelist-at-Large Wade is well-versed in the Word of God. He believes in expounding the Gospel of Christ, pure and unadulterated. He also believes in keeping the doors of the Church open to fallen humanity. He takes his calling and charge seriously and makes himself readily available to his members.
Deacon Joseph Butler
Armor Bearer to the Chief Executive Officer
The Deacon is a member of the ordained ministry of the Church of God and Saints of Christ. He is the principal support of the Pastor and the "eye of the Church," watching over the membership, helping to maintain order, serving the Pastor and Saints with diginity, compassion, and spirit.

Deacon Joseph Butler joined the Church of God and Saints of Christ in 2005. Quickly falling in love, he began his work diligently and consistently. There is nothing that our Deacon wouldn't do for the work of the Church and for the Saints, and it has been evident. He has upheld and unwaiveringly supported the Pastors under which he has served. Deacon Butler is a pillar of the community, working for the local law enforcement agency. He has made countless efforts in being a positive influence to all he comes in contact with. He was appointed Armor Bearer to the Chief Executive Officer of the Church of God and Saints of Christ in 2009 currently serving Senior Bishop Robert D. Grant, Sr.
